From a little kitchen with a big reputation, my award winning, handmade luxury cakes have been a favourite with Irish clients for over 30 years. I am committed to 100% customer satisfaction and I take great pride in every aspect of my business. Hello! my name is Karen Smith previously Karen Heffernan, I operate my business Karens Cakes from my home-based studio in Clonee, Dublin. I offer expertise in creativity with over 20 years experience producing cakes of the highest standard.

I have a dedication to detail to ensure that you have an exceptional and stunning cake as a centrepiece for your special event! I started my career in cake decorating in 1985 while working for manning's bakery in coolock, Dublin 17. The resident cake decorator retired and I took over and discovered I had a flare for it and was hooked! Over 20 years later I am still fascinated by this beautiful craft.

I have been privileged to study sugar craft and cake decorated the institute of technology Kevin's street. Where I won the bakels pettinice sugar paste award that spur me on to enter local and national compitions achieving a number of awards. Since married and a couple of children later I decided back in 2002 to start my own business. I offer an individual and exclusive service... 

All my cakes are home baked from scratch with fresh ingredients I believe cakes should taste as good as they look. Evening and weekend consultation are available by appointments, a personal and individual service one to one consolation in my studio with no time restriction.
